Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Consultant Cardiologist based in Dehradun. The Consultant Cardiologist will evaluate and manage patients with cardiovascular conditions through outpatient clinics, inpatient consultations, and ward rounds. Responsibilities include interpreting diagnostic tests, formulating treatment plans, performing or supervising relevant procedures, and coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams. The role involves providing clinical guidance, participating in case discussions, maintaining accurate medical records, and contributing to quality improvement and clinical governance activities. The Consultant Cardiologist is expected to stay current with cardiology guidelines, participate in continuing medical education, and support training of junior medical staff where required.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Medicine with comprehensive clinical assessment and patient management skills.
Expertise in Cardiology, including diagnosis and treatment of a broad range of cardiovascular diseases.
Experience or training in Interventional Cardiology for performing or supervising cardiac interventions, as appropriate.
Knowledge of Nuclear Medicine applications in cardiology for diagnostic imaging and functional cardiac assessment.
Competence in Vascular medicine for managing peripheral vascular diseases and related cardiovascular conditions.
Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and completed residency in Internal Medicine or related field.
Relevant postgraduate qualification in Cardiology (DM/DNB or equivalent) and valid medical registration/license.
Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice, ethical standards, and patient-centric care.
Effective communication skills, ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, and strong clinical decision-making abilities.
Willingness to participate in teaching, audits, and continuous professional development activities.
