Partnership Associate – Lending Partnerships
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Type: Full-time, in-office
Reports to: Chief Business Officer
Department: Capital Partnerships
Role Summary
The Partnership Associate builds and manages Graystone Capital's relationships with the institutions that provide capital to our clients. These include regional and international banks, private credit funds, non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs) and other lending partners.
The role holder will identify and onboard new lending partners, present client financing proposals to them, work with their credit teams through underwriting, and manage each transaction end to end until disbursement.
This is not a sales role. It is a structuring and execution role that requires a strong understanding of credit and financial statements.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, approach and onboard regional and international banks, private credit funds, NBFIs and other lending partners.
Establish and maintain formal partnership arrangements between these institutions and Graystone Capital.
Act as Graystone Capital's primary point of contact for each lending partner, managing the relationship on an ongoing basis.
Understand each partner's credit appetite, sector focus, ticket size, pricing and documentation requirements.
Review client financial statements, management accounts and projections, and match each financing proposal with the most suitable lender.
Prepare and present credit proposals, and respond to lender queries through the underwriting and credit approval process.
Coordinate term sheets, documentation, conditions precedent and account-opening requirements between the lender and the client.
Manage the full transaction cycle from submission through approval and execution to disbursement, and escalate delays proactively.
Maintain an accurate pipeline of transactions and partner activity, and report regularly to senior management.
Ensure all engagements comply with internal policies and applicable KYC and AML requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline. A professional qualification such as CFA or ACCA is an advantage.
Minimum 4 years of experience in banking, credit, private credit, debt advisory or financial institutions coverage.
Strong ability to read, analyse and interpret financial statements. This is essential.
Sound understanding of credit assessment, lending products and the bank approval process.
Experience working with credit, risk or underwriting teams at banks or lending institutions.
Excellent organisational skills, with the discipline to manage several transactions at once through to completion.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Preferred: an existing network of banks, private credit funds or NBFIs in the GCC or internationally; exposure to structured finance or syndicated lending; and experience across multiple markets.
