Role Description The Purchase Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for the dealership group. This position oversees vendor identification and selection, negotiates pricing and terms, and ensures timely purchase of vehicles, parts, and consumables in line with business requirements. The role includes monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with sales, service, and finance teams, and maintaining accurate purchase records and documentation. The Purchase Manager implements and improves purchasing policies, ensures compliance with company guidelines, and tracks key procurement metrics such as cost savings, delivery timelines, and supplier performance. The role also involves managing relationships with OEMs and suppliers, resolving supply issues, and supporting the leadership team with forecasts and periodic reports.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong procurement and vendor management skills, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
Candidates should possess inventory and supply chain skills, such as demand forecasting, stock control, and coordination with warehousing and logistics.
Candidates should possess financial and analytical skills, including cost analysis, budgeting, data interpretation, and use of Excel or similar tools.
Candidates should possess operational and process management skills, including documentation, adherence to policies, and continuous improvement of purchasing procedures.
Candidates should possess communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with suppliers, internal departments, and leadership.
Relevant experience in automotive, retail, or manufacturing procurement is highly beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred; procurement certifications are an advantage.
Ability to work on-site in Hyderabad, handle multiple priorities, and use ERP or dealership management systems is desirable.
