Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Automation Engineer role based in Chandigarh. The Automation Engineer will design, implement, and maintain automation systems for building management, environmental monitoring, and critical instrumentation applications in pharma and commercial facilities. Daily responsibilities include configuring and programming control systems, integrating sensors and instruments, and optimizing process control for temperature, pressure, level, and flow. The role involves diagnosing and resolving equipment and system issues, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting commissioning and testing activities. The Automation Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, prepare technical documentation, and ensure that solutions meet safety, regulatory, and performance standards.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Automation and Process Control for industrial and building management systems.
Candidates should possess applied Electrical Engineering skills for control panels, wiring, and instrumentation integration.
Candidates should possess expertise in Troubleshooting automation equipment, control loops, and monitoring systems.
Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Robotics or advanced automated systems integration.
Relevant skills such as PLC/SCADA programming, field instrumentation configuration, and knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, BACnet) are beneficial.
Experience in pharma or commercial building environments, especially with environmental monitoring and HVAC/ventilation systems, is an advantage.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related Engineering field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively on-site in a multidisciplinary team.
