Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Gynaecologist role based in Mysore. The Gynaecologist will provide outpatient and inpatient care for a broad range of gynecologic and obstetric conditions, including consultations, routine check-ups, antenatal and postnatal care. Daily responsibilities include performing diagnostic assessments, recommending treatment plans, managing labor and delivery, and conducting gynecologic procedures and surgeries as required. The role also involves maintaining accurate medical records, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, offering patient education on reproductive and maternal health, and participating in clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives. The Gynaecologist is expected to adhere to evidence-based guidelines, uphold patient safety and confidentiality, and contribute to a respectful and inclusive care environment.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Medicine, with proven clinical skills in diagnosis, treatment, and patient management.
Competence in Gynecology and Obstetrics, including routine antenatal care, labor management, and gynecologic evaluation.
Proficiency in Gynecologic Surgery and general Surgery relevant to obstetric and gynecologic practice.
Recognized medical degree (MBBS) and postgraduate qualification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (e.g., MD, MS, DNB) from an accredited institution.
Valid medical registration with the appropriate medical council and eligibility to practice in Karnataka.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, with clear, empathetic communication toward patients and colleagues.
Commitment to ethical clinical practice, continuous learning, and adherence to current evidence-based guidelines.
Experience in hospital or clinic-based obstetrics and gynecology practice in India is highly desirable.
