Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Optometrist role based at Bloom Vision in Dwarka. The Optometrist will conduct comprehensive eye examinations, including refraction, binocular vision assessment, and contact lens fitting, and will assist in pre- and post-operative evaluations for cataract, refractive, and other ocular procedures. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing visual problems, advising on corrective lenses, coordinating with ophthalmologists on treatment plans, and educating patients and caregivers on eye health and preventive care. The role involves maintaining accurate clinical records, using diagnostic equipment, supporting pediatric eye care services, and contributing to a collaborative, ethical, and patient-focused environment.
Qualifications
Professional qualification in Optometry (Bachelor’s or Diploma in Optometry from a recognized institution); valid registration or eligibility for registration as required by local regulations.
Strong clinical skills in refraction, contact lens fitting, binocular vision assessment, and basic management of common ocular conditions.
Experience working with pediatric patients and comfort in communicating clearly and empathetically with children and their families.
Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment such as autorefractors, slit lamps, keratometers, visual field analyzers, Biometer & OCT.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain clinical findings and treatment plans in accessible language.
Attention to detail, strong documentation and record-keeping skills, and adherence to clinical protocols and infection-control standards.
Ability to work collaboratively with ophthalmologists and other clinic staff in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
Prior experience in a surgical or specialty eye care practice (cataract, refractive, glaucoma, retina) is an advantage but not mandatory.
