Position Overview
The Investment Analyst is responsible for evaluating investment opportunities, conducting financial and market research, preparing investment analyses, monitoring portfolio performance, and supporting strategic investment decisions. The role requires strong analytical skills, financial modelling expertise, and the ability to present data-driven recommendations to senior management
.Key Responsibilities.
Investment Research & Analysis
Conduct financial, industry, and market research to identify investment opportunities
Perform financial modelling, valuation, and investment analysis
Analyze financial statements, business performance, and industry trends
Prepare investment notes, feasibility studies, and due diligence reports
.Portfolio Management
Monitor the performance of existing investments and prepare periodic portfolio reports
Track market developments and assess their impact on investment strategies
Review portfolio risks and recommend corrective actions where required
.Financial Planning & Reporting
Develop financial forecasts and investment return projections
Prepare presentations, dashboards, and MIS reports for management
Support budgeting, capital allocation, and strategic planning exercises
.Stakeholder Coordination
Coordinate with internal departments, external advisors, consultants, and financial institutions
Support negotiations, documentation, and execution of investment transactions
Assist in preparing materials for the Investment Committee and senior management meetings
.Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure investment proposals comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements
Identify financial, operational, and market risks associated with investment opportunities
Maintain accurate documentation and investment records
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline
MBA (Finance) equivalent qualification is preferrence
6 years of experience in investment analysis, corporate finance, private equity, venture capital, investment banking, consulting, or financial planning
Skills & Competencies
Strong financial modelling and valuation skills
Excellent analytical and quantitative abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis too
Strong understanding of financial statements and investment principles
Excellent presentation and report-writing skills
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
High standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics
