Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Machine Design Engineer role based in Chennai. The Machine Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing machinery and mechanical systems, including concept development, detailed engineering, and validation of designs. Daily activities include creating and revising 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD tools, performing design calculations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability, safety, and performance. The role involves supporting automation initiatives, preparing technical documentation, and coordinating with suppliers or production teams during prototyping and commissioning. The engineer will also participate in design reviews, troubleshoot issues in existing machines, and contribute to continuous improvement of design standards and processes.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Machine Design and Mechanical Engineering for developing reliable and efficient mechanical systems.
Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for modeling, drafting, and detailing components and assemblies.
Candidates should possess knowledge of Machinery design, operation, and maintenance considerations for industrial applications.
Candidates should possess understanding of Automation principles and integration of mechanical designs with control systems.
Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Ability to interpret engineering standards, perform basic mechanical calculations, and apply safety and compliance requirements.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams on-site.
Experience in manufacturing or industrial equipment design, and familiarity with industry-standard tools and practices, is beneficial.
