Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Designer role based in Bengaluru/Chennai, requiring experience with Creo and also need another Embedded Designer and approximately two years of overall design experience. The Designer will create and modify 3D models and detailed engineering drawings, ensuring accuracy, manufacturability, and adherence to company and industry standards. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with mechanical and production teams, refining designs based on feedback, and supporting prototype development and design validation. The role also involves applying design thinking and user-focused principles to improve usability, visual consistency, and interaction with machine tools and related components. The Designer is expected to maintain documentation, follow established workflows, and contribute to continuous improvement of design processes.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Creo and Embedded Designer, with around 2 years of hands-on experience in mechanical or product design.
Ability to apply Design Thinking to solve engineering and usability challenges and to iterate based on stakeholder input.
Visual Design and Interaction Design skills to create clear, consistent, and user-friendly layouts, interfaces, and component arrangements.
User Experience (UX) capabilities to understand operator needs, workflows, and safety considerations in the context of machine tools.
Instructional Design experience or aptitude to develop clear diagrams, assembly instructions, and technical documentation for users and technicians.
Relevant technical qualification (e.g., diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Design, or related field).
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and standards, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams on-site.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials, and tolerances; experience in machine tools or industrial equipment is an advantage.
