Role Description The Automation Project Engineer is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, developing, and implementing industrial automation solutions. Day-to-day activities include configuring and programming control systems, such as PLC-based architectures, and integrating robotics and electrical systems into automated processes. The role involves performing system analysis, diagnosing issues, and troubleshooting process control problems to ensure stable and efficient operation. The Automation Project Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, prepare technical documentation, and support project planning, commissioning, and ongoing optimization. This position requires proactive communication with internal stakeholders and clients to align automation design with project requirements and operational goals.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of Process Control and experience applying control strategies to industrial automation systems.
Hands-on expertise with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and related programming environments.
Background in Electrical Engineering with practical experience in control panels, instrumentation, and wiring for automated systems.
Experience working with Robotics and integrating robotic systems into manufacturing or process environments.
Demonstrated Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving control, hardware, and system integration issues.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating effectively with project teams and clients.
Familiarity with industrial communication protocols, safety standards, and documentation practices is beneficial.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with attention to detail and commitment to quality.
