Role Description The Assistant Professor role at State University up is a full-time, on-site position located in Mau Ranipur. The Assistant Professor will design and deliver lectures, seminars, and laboratory or tutorial sessions, as appropriate to their discipline. Daily responsibilities include preparing course materials, assessing student performance, providing academic advising, and maintaining regular office hours. The role also involves conducting scholarly research, publishing in academic outlets, applying for grants where relevant, and actively participating in departmental and institutional committees. The Assistant Professor is expected to contribute to curriculum development, uphold academic standards, and engage with the broader academic and local community.
Qualifications
Relevant doctoral or terminal degree in the appropriate academic discipline from an accredited institution.
Demonstrated experience or strong potential in university-level teaching, including course design and student assessment.
Evidence of research activity or a clear research agenda, with potential for peer-reviewed publications and scholarly contributions.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support and mentor a diverse student body.
Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, contribute to departmental service, and participate in institutional initiatives.
Commitment to inclusive pedagogy, academic integrity, and continuous professional development.
Familiarity with educational technologies, learning management systems, and innovative teaching practices is an advantage.
Prior academic or professional experience in higher education settings is preferred but not required.
