Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid role for a Senior Judo Coach based in Bahadurgarh, with some work-from-home responsibilities for planning, reporting, and coordination. The Senior Judo Coach will lead advanced judo training sessions, design periodized training plans, and oversee technical, tactical, and physical preparation of athletes. The role involves mentoring junior coaches, identifying and nurturing talent, and preparing athletes for competitive events at various levels. The coach will monitor athlete performance, maintain training records, coordinate with sports science and medical support staff, and ensure adherence to safety standards and ethical coaching practices. Additional responsibilities include organizing camps, participating in selection trials, and contributing to departmental initiatives for judo development.
Qualifications
Strong technical and tactical expertise in judo, with proven experience coaching advanced and competitive-level athletes.
Formal coaching certifications in judo from recognized national or international bodies; higher-level or specialist certifications are an asset.
Demonstrated experience in planning training cycles, managing athlete development pathways, and preparing athletes for state, national, or international competitions.
Ability to mentor and guide junior coaches, support staff, and athletes, fostering a positive, inclusive, and disciplined training environment.
Knowledge of sports science basics, such as strength and conditioning, injury prevention, and nutrition, in collaboration with relevant professionals.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills, including record-keeping, reporting, and coordination with departmental authorities.
Commitment to safeguarding, fair play, and non-discriminatory practices, with adherence to government and federation policies.
Relevant academic background in Physical Education, Sports Coaching, or a related field is preferred.
Prior experience working with government sports schemes, academies, or sports organizations in India is an advantage.
