Role Description
As a System Design Content Writer at The Design Round, you will create clear, engaging content that explains core system design concepts, patterns, and best practices for an audience of engineering students and early-career professionals. You will research industry-standard architectures, scalability approaches, and design trade-offs, then translate them into articles, guides, and learning resources. Daily tasks include drafting and refining web content, collaborating with mentors or senior contributors to ensure technical accuracy, and updating content based on feedback and new trends. You may help outline content strategies for system design modules, create structured learning paths, and support social or community posts that promote educational materials. This is a remote internship role, offering flexible collaboration and exposure to real systems-thinking discussions in a supportive learning environment.
Qualifications
Strong Web Content Writing and Writing skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, accessible language.
Experience or interest in Content Strategy and Research, especially around system design, backend architectures, and scalable systems.
Competence in Proofreading, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency across all published materials.
Foundational understanding of computer science or software engineering concepts (e.g., data structures, networks, databases, distributed systems).
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage deadlines, and incorporate feedback constructively.
Strong written communication skills in English and attention to detail in technical explanations and examples.
Interest in teaching, mentoring, or building educational resources for peers is a plus.
