Volunteer Programme Coordinator – OHS Mentorship Programme

About the Programme
The IIHSE OHS Mentorship Programme is a structured, volunteer-led professional development initiative designed to connect early-career occupational health and safety professionals with experienced practitioners.
The programme supports professional development through one-to-one mentoring, ethical practice, knowledge sharing and structured guidance over a three-month period.
We are seeking a Volunteer Programme Coordinator to support the international implementation and coordination of the programme.
This is an unpaid, remote and flexible volunteer position. Applications are welcome from professionals worldwide.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the overall programme workflow and key activities.
Track agreed tasks, timelines and deliverables.
Support communication and coordination across the programme team.
Support mentor and mentee onboarding and programme processes.
Monitor implementation progress and follow up on agreed actions.
Help ensure programme activities are delivered according to the planned framework.
Requirements
Previous experience in programme management, project management, project coordination or a related area.
Strong organisational and follow-up skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Good command of English.
Ability to work independently in a remote and international environment.
Ability to commit approximately 2–3 hours per week for 3 months.
Commitment to IIHSE’s ethical, confidentiality and data protection principles.
Working Model
The role is remote, flexible and primarily task-based.
There is no standing weekly meeting requirement and no expectation of continuous online availability. Coordination will primarily be managed asynchronously, with occasional communication as required by programme activities.
