Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Heavy Driver role based in Punjab, India. The Heavy Driver will operate trucks and other heavy vehicles to transport goods safely between locations, following assigned routes and schedules. Responsibilities include conducting pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, loading and securing cargo, maintaining cleanliness of the truck, and adhering to traffic laws and company safety policies. The role also involves completing delivery documentation, communicating with dispatch and customers about delivery status, and reporting any mechanical issues or delays promptly. The driver is expected to demonstrate professional conduct with clients and colleagues and support smooth day-to-day transport operations.
Qualifications
Strong truck driving skills with experience operating heavy vehicles and trucks.
Valid CDL Class A or equivalent heavy vehicle driving license as required by local regulations.
Effective communication skills to coordinate with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers.
Customer service mindset to interact professionally with clients during pickups and deliveries.
Good knowledge of local and regional routes within Punjab and surrounding areas.
Ability to read and follow delivery instructions, manifests, and basic transport documentation.
Understanding of road safety rules, load securing practices, and basic vehicle maintenance checks.
Physical ability to handle loading/unloading tasks as needed and work extended hours when required.
Prior experience in commercial or goods transport driving is preferred.
Reliability, punctuality, and a strong focus on safety and responsibility.
