Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Soldering Technician role based in Navi Mumbai. The Soldering Technician will perform manual and machine-assisted soldering of electronic components on PCBs and other assemblies, following technical drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. Daily responsibilities include preparing workstations, handling components and tools, inspecting solder joints for defects, and reworking assemblies when needed. The role involves collaborating with production and quality teams, maintaining cleanliness and safety at the workstation, and accurately recording completed work and any issues encountered. The technician will also support basic troubleshooting of soldering problems and comply with all safety and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures.
Qualifications
Proficiency in through-hole and surface-mount (SMT) soldering techniques, including component placement and rework on PCBs.
Ability to read and follow basic circuit diagrams, assembly drawings, and work instructions.
Strong attention to detail and quality, with experience in visual inspection of solder joints and defect identification.
Familiarity with ESD-safe handling practices, hand tools (soldering irons, tweezers, cutters), and basic test/measurement tools.
Basic understanding of electronics manufacturing processes and production workflows.
Minimum of a relevant technical certificate or ITI in electronics or a related field; prior experience in electronics assembly or soldering is preferred.
Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks safely, and follow workplace safety guidelines.
Reliable communication skills, willingness to learn, and ability to work cooperatively in a production team environment.
