About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Downtown Development Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating various projects and initiatives aimed at revitalizing and maintaining the vibrancy of downtown Boulder. Your primary focus will include supporting local businesses, organizing community events, and implementing strategic plans that promote economic growth and community engagement. You will serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and ensuring the successful execution of programs that benefit the downtown district. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of one of Colorado’s most iconic urban centers.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in urban planning, public administration, business management, or a related field. A minimum of three years of experience in community development, project management, or economic development is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Familiarity with local government processes, urban design principles, and economic analysis will be advantageous. The candidate should demonstrate a proactive approach, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for community development. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management tools, and social media platforms is also required.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and support initiatives aimed at enhancing the economic vitality and aesthetic appeal of downtown Boulder.
Develop and manage relationships with local businesses, government agencies, and community organizations to foster collaboration and support strategic goals.
Plan, organize, and execute community events, promotional campaigns, and public outreach activities that increase engagement and visibility of downtown Boulder.
Conduct research and analysis on economic trends, demographic data, and community needs to inform strategic planning.
Assist in the development of policies and programs that promote sustainable growth and responsible urban development.
Monitor project progress, prepare reports, and present findings to stakeholders and leadership teams.
Support grant writing efforts and manage project budgets to ensure financial accountability and resource optimization.
Participate in local committees and advisory boards to advocate for downtown development initiatives.
