Teacher – KG to Standard II

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Teaching role for KG to Standard II at Isha Vidhya, located in Nagercoil. The teacher will plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons in alignment with Isha Vidhya’s curriculum and holistic teaching methodologies. Daily responsibilities include classroom instruction, preparing teaching materials, assessing student progress, and maintaining an engaging, supportive learning environment. The teacher will communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student development, collaborate with other staff members on academic activities, and participate in school events and trainings.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Education and Teaching, with the ability to handle KG to Standard II students effectively.
Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Training to design and deliver engaging, structured learning experiences.
Excellent Communication skills to interact with young learners, colleagues, and parents in a clear and empathetic manner.
Relevant academic qualification in Education or a related field (B.Ed., or equivalent preferred).
Experience working with young children in a school setting, ideally in rural or low-resource environments.
Ability to facilitate English language development and basic numeracy using activity-based and interactive methods.
Commitment to child-centered, inclusive teaching practices and the holistic development of each learner.
Willingness to participate in continuous professional development and adopt innovative teaching methodologies.
