Role Description The Security Operations Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore. This role is responsible for monitoring security events, coordinating activities within the Security Operations Center (SOC), and supporting incident response procedures. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing alerts, escalating potential threats, assisting in investigations, and maintaining documentation of security incidents and operational processes. The coordinator will collaborate with cybersecurity and network security teams to ensure timely response, implement best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement of security controls. The role also involves preparing reports, supporting audits, and communicating status updates to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
Experience working in or supporting a Security Operations Center, including monitoring and coordinating security activities.
Strong analytical skills to assess security alerts, identify patterns, and prioritize incidents effectively.
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, common threats, and security frameworks.
Understanding of network security concepts, tools, and practices used to protect infrastructure.
Hands-on experience or training in incident response, including triage, escalation, and documentation.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Familiarity with SIEM tools, log analysis, and basic scripting or automation is beneficial.
Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, or similar) are an advantage.
