Role Description The Revit Drafter for Fire Protection Design & Training Private Limited System role is a full-time, on-site position based in Thanjavur. The role involves creating and updating Revit models and detailed drawings for fire protection systems, including layouts, pipe routing, and equipment placement, in coordination with architectural and structural drawings. Daily responsibilities include interpreting design inputs, preparing shop drawings and as-built drawings, ensuring adherence to relevant codes and standards, and coordinating with project engineers and site teams to resolve design and drawing issues. The drafter prepares and revises plans, sections, and details, manages drawing documentation, and supports project delivery timelines by maintaining accurate and organized drawing sets. The role may also involve reviewing drawings for constructability and assisting in the integration of fire protection designs with other building services.
Qualifications
Ability to interpret and work with Architectural Drawings and integrate fire protection system layouts accurately.
Knowledge or practical experience in Painting and Spray Painting, including surface preparation and finish quality, is an advantage for understanding site requirements.
Familiarity with basic Carpentry and Paint-related tasks can support coordination with on-site trades and understanding of installation constraints.
Proficiency in Revit and CAD software for fire protection or MEP drafting, with strong attention to detail and drawing accuracy.
Understanding of fire protection systems (sprinklers, hydrants, pumps, piping) and relevant codes or standards is highly beneficial.
Strong coordination and communication skills to work with engineers, architects, and site teams, and the ability to meet project deadlines.
Diploma or degree in engineering, drafting, architecture, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
