Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Swimming Coach role based in Burdwan. The Swimming Coach will plan and deliver daily swim lessons and training sessions for individuals and groups, focusing on stroke technique, endurance, and overall water confidence. Responsibilities include assessing swimmer abilities, creating level-appropriate training plans, supervising pool activities to ensure safety, and reinforcing proper warm-up and cool-down routines. The coach will monitor progress, provide constructive feedback, prepare swimmers for competitions or assessments, and collaborate with club management on schedules, events, and program improvements. The role also involves promoting a positive, inclusive environment and maintaining clear communication with swimmers and their families or guardians.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Swim Instruction and Swim Lessons, with the ability to teach different age groups and skill levels.
Candidates should possess solid Swimming and Aquatics skills, including knowledge of all major strokes, training methods, and water safety practices.
Candidates should possess Lifeguarding skills, including current or eligible certification in lifesaving, CPR, and first aid.
Prior experience as a swimming coach, instructor, or competitive swimmer is beneficial.
Ability to supervise groups safely, maintain discipline, and respond calmly and effectively in emergencies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an inclusive and supportive coaching style.
Relevant coaching or aquatics certifications and compliance with local regulations are preferred.
