Role Description As an Azure Data Engineer at Nxvora, you will design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and data platforms using Microsoft Azure services. You will work on building and optimizing ETL/ELT processes with tools such as Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks, ensuring reliable, scalable, and secure data workflows. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders to understand data requirements, modeling and structuring data for analytics, monitoring data quality and performance, and troubleshooting issues across the data stack. You will also contribute to automation, documentation, and best practices for data governance and security, while supporting BI, reporting, and AI/ML initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse or Azure SQL Database for building and orchestrating data pipelines.
Hands-on experience in data engineering and data management, including ETL/ELT design, data modeling, and data warehousing on cloud platforms.
Programming skills in Python or similar languages for data processing, automation, and integration with analytics and machine learning workflows.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (primarily Microsoft Azure; exposure to AWS is a plus) and associated security, performance, and cost-optimization practices.
Familiarity with analytics, BI, and reporting use cases, and the ability to structure data for dashboards, self-service analytics, and AI/ML solutions.
Understanding of data governance, data quality, and compliance principles, with experience implementing standards and monitoring controls.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional technical and business teams on-site.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications in Azure data or cloud technologies are advantageous.
