Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Aix/Linux Administrator role based in the Greater Bhopal Area. The Aix/Linux Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining Linux and AIX servers, including installation, configuration, and system monitoring. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine system administration activities, ensuring system security and uptime, troubleshooting issues, and delivering technical support to internal teams and clients. The role involves handling patch management, system upgrades, and performance tuning to maintain resilient and efficient environments. The administrator will also document procedures, follow change management processes, and collaborate with other IT team members to support projects and operational needs.
Qualifications
Strong Linux System Administration and general System Administration skills, including installation, configuration, monitoring, and performance optimization.
Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Technical Support to diagnose, resolve, and prevent system and application issues.
Experience with Patch Management, system updates, and security hardening in enterprise environments.
Understanding of AIX operating systems, shell scripting, and command-line tools for automation and maintenance.
Familiarity with networking fundamentals, storage concepts, and backup/recovery procedures.
Ability to work on-site in the Greater Bhopal Area, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple tasks in a structured environment.
Relevant academic background such as a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Professional certifications in Linux or Unix (e.g., RHCE, Linux+, IBM AIX certifications) are an advantage.
