Role Description The Director of Student Success is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune, responsible for overseeing the overall student experience and ensuring learners thrive academically and creatively. This role includes designing and managing student support programs, monitoring student progress, and implementing strategies to improve retention, satisfaction, and outcomes. The Director will collaborate with faculty to align teaching practices with student needs, coordinate orientations and workshops, and handle student feedback, concerns, and escalations in a timely and professional manner. Day-to-day responsibilities include data-driven analysis of student performance, regular communication with students and families, and development of initiatives that enhance engagement, well-being, and performance opportunities. This position also works closely with leadership to refine policies, contribute to long-term growth plans, and maintain a positive, inclusive culture that supports diverse learners.
Qualifications
Experience in student success, academic advising, counseling, or education management, preferably in music or performing arts.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to build trust-based relationships with students, families, and staff.
Demonstrated ability to design and implement student support programs, track outcomes, and use data to inform decisions.
Proven organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple initiatives and maintain accurate records.
Understanding of learner-centered education, growth mindset principles, and holistic approaches to student well-being.
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Music, Arts Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are an advantage.
Experience working in on-site educational settings and comfort with collaborating across teaching, administration, and operations teams.
Enthusiasm for music education, sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and learning styles, and commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practices.
