Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Apprentice & Fitter role based in Surat. The Apprentice & Fitter will assist in measuring, cutting, and installing glass panels, mirrors, and related fittings according to project specifications. Daily responsibilities include handling and transporting glass safely, using hand and power tools, preparing surfaces and frames, and supporting senior fitters during installation work at client locations. The role also involves basic maintenance of tools, following safety and quality standards, and completing documentation related to work orders. The position is designed to help the apprentice learn the trade, develop technical skills, and progress toward more independent fitting responsibilities.
Qualifications
Ability to learn and perform basic glass fitting tasks, including measuring, cutting, and installation under supervision.
Comfort with using hand tools and power tools, and readiness to follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
Basic numerical and measurement skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in following instructions.
Physical ability to handle glass sheets and materials, including lifting, carrying, and working on-site at various locations.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to work full-time on-site in Surat.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, fitters, and other team members.
Prior experience or vocational training in glass, construction, or related trades is an advantage but not mandatory.
Minimum basic education level as required by local regulations; technical certification in a relevant field is a plus.
