YOUR ROLE
We are looking for a highly driven, reliable and detail-oriented Finance Operations Manager to run the day-to-day finance and accounting activities of the company in the Philippines and support management in key financial and operational decisions.
You will own core finance processes across REBEL's operations in the Philippines as well as some support for Singapore, the United States and future markets, ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls and effective coordination of intercompany transactions.
The role combines accounting, financial reporting, cash-flow management, compliance and finance operations. You will work closely with management and external accounting, audit and tax partners, while helping build scalable processes as the company grows.
You will also help develop and manage the finance and accounting function, including supporting and supervising additional team members as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the financial and accounting activities of the company
Prepare, analyze and report financial performance against key business and management metrics.
Manage group and intercompany accounting across entities in the Philippines, Singapore, the United States and other future markets.
Ensure proper recording, reconciliation and settlement of intercompany charges, balances and transactions.
Support consolidated and entity-level financial reporting across the group.
Oversee the month-end closing process and ensure transactions are completely and accurately captured in the books.
Review revenue recognition, expenses, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and depreciation.
Manage cash flow, liquidity planning and short- to medium-term cash forecasting.
Oversee billing, collections, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Ensure customer billing and collection schedules are adhered to and vendor payment terms are optimized to support operating requirements.
Manage payments to employees, providers, contractors and external suppliers.
Oversee payroll processes across relevant entities and markets.
Perform regular balance-sheet and account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Maintain appropriate financial controls and continuously improve finance processes.
Support annual budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
Lead and coordinate statutory audits, tax filings and other financial compliance requirements across relevant jurisdictions.
Liaise with external auditors, accountants, tax advisers, corporate secretaries and other professional partners.
Monitor financial activities to ensure compliance with applicable accounting, tax and statutory requirements.
Support management with financial analysis, scenario planning and other information required for business decisions.
Help implement and improve accounting systems, reporting tools and finance automation.
Develop documentation, policies and standard operating procedures to make finance processes scalable across multiple entities and countries.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field from a leading university; graduates from UP, Ateneo, DLSU or similarly strong institutions are preferred.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) strongly preferred.
Big 4 audit or accounting experience is highly advantageous, but not mandatory.
Ideally 2–5 years of relevant finance, accounting or audit experience.
Familiarity with Philippine accounting, tax and statutory requirements; exposure to Singapore, US or international entities is a plus.
Strong understanding of corporate accounting, financial reporting and internal controls.
Experience managing month-end closing, balance-sheet reconciliations, accruals and financial statements.
Experience working with external auditors, tax advisers and accounting partners.
Experience with payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash management.
Strong proficiency with accounting software and the ability to learn and implement new finance systems.
Highly proficient in Excel and comfortable working with large financial datasets.
Ability to prepare, analyze and interpret financial and audit information.
Ability to develop and implement effective accounting policies, processes and financial controls.
Comfortable building processes from scratch and operating in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
Strong attention to detail and a high degree of ownership and reliability.
Self-motivated, organized and results-oriented.
Able to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external partners across different countries.
