Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Litigation Assistant role based in the Pune Division. The Litigation Assistant will support attorneys in managing case files, organizing documents, and preparing materials for hearings, trials, and client meetings. Daily responsibilities include assisting with legal document drafting, proofreading, and formatting; maintaining and updating case calendars, deadlines, and court dates; and coordinating with clients, courts, and other stakeholders through clear written and verbal communication. The role involves filing and service of documents, maintaining orderly electronic and physical records, and ensuring that all case-related tasks are completed accurately and on time. The Litigation Assistant will work closely with the litigation team to support case preparation and overall workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Law and prior experience or education relevant to litigation support.
Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, formatting, and organizing pleadings and other case materials.
Demonstrated Legal Assistance skills, such as case file management, coordination with courts, and support for hearings and trials.
Effective Communication skills, including clear written correspondence and professional verbal interaction with clients and internal teams.
Experience with Calendaring, including tracking deadlines, court dates, and appointments to ensure timely follow-up.
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Comfort with standard office software and legal practice management tools.
Relevant diploma or degree in law or legal studies; prior experience in a law firm or litigation practice is an advantage.
