Consultant Psychologist

Company Description Fika – Exploring Possibilities is a mental health and wellness organisation based in Alappuzha, Kerala, established in 2020. Guided by RCI-registered Clinical Psychologists and qualified mental health professionals, we provide evidence-based psychological care, assessments, counselling, behavioural interventions, and wellness services across the lifespan. Beyond clinical care, Fika creates spaces for mental health awareness, learning, connection, and community well-being through workshops, outreach initiatives, and experiential programmes.
Role Description The Consultant Psychologist will provide evidence-based psychological services to clients, including individual counseling, mental health consultations, and psychoeducation. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting psychological assessments, developing intervention plans, maintaining ethical and accurate case documentation, and collaborating with other professionals within the organisation. The role also involves contributing to awareness programs, workshops, and research or academic initiatives related to mental health and wellbeing.
Qualifications
Strong academic foundation in Psychology, with applied knowledge in Mental Health.
Demonstrated competence in Counseling, including individual and group interventions.
Ability to conduct and interpret Psychological Assessment using appropriate tools and methodologies.
Familiarity with Medicine or allied health concepts to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary settings.
Relevant postgraduate degree in Psychology/Clinical or Counseling Psychology (or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
Strong ethical judgment, confidentiality practices, and adherence to professional codes of conduct.
Excellent communication skills, empathy, and cultural sensitivity in working with diverse populations.
Ability to work independently, proactively participating the functioning of clinic, manage part-time schedules, and contribute to team-based initiatives.
Prior experience in community mental health, or academic/research projects is an advantage.
