Role Description This is a full-time remote role for an English Teacher (Lehrkraft für Englisch) supporting learners connected with INTERCONTINENTAL HOTELS GROUP OPERATING CORP. The role involves planning and delivering engaging online English lessons tailored to different proficiency levels and professional needs, particularly within a hospitality context. Daily tasks include preparing lesson materials, conducting virtual classes, assigning and reviewing exercises, and providing constructive feedback on language skills. The English Teacher will also assess learner progress, adapt teaching methods to individual and group needs, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure learning objectives are met. The role requires consistent communication, accurate record-keeping of attendance and performance, and adherence to professional teaching standards in a remote environment.
Qualifications
Strong skills in English Teaching and Teaching, with demonstrated ability to instruct diverse learners in an online setting.
Experience in Lesson Planning and Education, including designing structured curricula and adapting materials to different proficiency levels.
Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to give clear explanations and constructive feedback.
Relevant academic background in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field; formal teaching certification or TEFL/TESOL qualification is an advantage.
Prior experience teaching English to adults or professionals, preferably in hospitality or service-oriented environments.
Proficiency with online teaching platforms, digital collaboration tools, and basic classroom management in virtual settings.
Strong organizational skills, reliability in a remote work context, and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
Cultural sensitivity and the ability to support learners from diverse backgrounds.
