Role Description The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading the organization’s technology strategy and operations. This role oversees the design, implementation, and maintenance of information systems that support content delivery, community engagement, events, and partnership initiatives. The CIO will manage IT infrastructure, ensure data security and privacy, and align technology investments with business objectives. Daily responsibilities include evaluating and optimizing platforms and tools, directing IT projects, developing policies and procedures, and collaborating with leadership to support scalable growth. The CIO will also monitor emerging technologies relevant to digital platforms and recommend improvements to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Information Technology and IT Operations, with experience overseeing enterprise-level systems and infrastructure.
Proven track record in IT Management and IT Strategy, including leading technology teams and aligning IT initiatives with organizational goals.
Experience improving Business Processes through technology, including workflow optimization, automation, and data-driven decision-making.
Demonstrated ability to manage information security, data privacy, and compliance in a digital platform or SaaS environment.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CISSP, PMP) are an asset.
Experience in the venture capital, financial services, or technology startup ecosystem is highly beneficial.
