Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Associate role based in Tamil Nadu, India. The Sales Associate will identify and qualify potential customers in residential, commercial, and industrial segments, and promote Sunrad’s rooftop, ground-mount, hybrid, and BESS-enabled solar solutions. Responsibilities include conducting site visits, explaining technical and financial benefits, preparing basic proposals or estimates, and coordinating with the engineering and operations teams to ensure accurate project scoping. The role involves managing leads, maintaining a sales pipeline, following up on inquiries, and supporting contract finalization and documentation. The Sales Associate will also assist with customer education, contribute to local marketing activities, and help ensure a smooth handover to the project and after-sales teams.
Qualifications
Strong sales and customer relationship skills, including lead generation, prospecting, and follow-up.
Ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms, with interest or experience in solar energy or electrical solutions.
Good communication and presentation skills in English; proficiency in Tamil is highly beneficial.
Basic understanding of financial metrics such as ROI, payback period, and savings calculations.
Comfort with fieldwork, site visits, and on-site customer interactions across Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.
Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to work collaboratively with engineering, operations, and support teams.
Prior experience in sales (renewable energy, electrical products, or related sectors) is an advantage.
Graduate degree or diploma in Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
