Role Description The LIC Bima Sakhi role is a full-time position based in Kanpur with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing a combination of on-site work and some work from home. The role involves meeting and engaging with prospective and existing customers, explaining life insurance products, and helping them choose suitable plans for their needs. Daily tasks include generating leads in the community, following up with clients, assisting with policy documentation, and providing ongoing service and support. The LIC Bima Sakhi will also participate in local awareness activities, maintain accurate records of customer interactions, and coordinate with LIC offices and teams to ensure smooth policy issuance and servicing.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse customers and build long-term relationships.
Candidates should possess basic sales and customer service skills, including lead generation, follow-up, and handling queries with professionalism.
Candidates should possess organizational and time management skills to manage field visits, appointments, and documentation efficiently.
Candidates should possess basic numerical and computer literacy skills to understand insurance products, calculate premiums, and use digital tools or mobile applications.
Candidates should possess a customer-focused mindset, ethical work practices, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Minimum educational qualification: completion of secondary or higher secondary education (exact requirement as per LIC norms); prior experience in sales, community work, or financial services is an advantage.
Familiarity with local languages and culture in Kanpur and surrounding areas will be beneficial for community outreach.
