We don't need experience. We need proof that you can build.
Company Description: We’re building Alan the control plane for software delivery. Coding agents are changing how software gets built, and we're working on the layer that gives them shared context, cloud environments, orchestration and verification so humans + agents can actually ship together.
We're a lean team. We move ridiculously fast. There isn't going to be an “intern project.” You’ll work on the actual product.
We’re looking for someone who can:
> build full-stack features end to end, from UI to backend to production
> work on coding agents, agent orchestration, and the systems around them
> build cloud sandboxes, developer infrastructure, and tooling that agents can actually rely on
> figure out how agents understand large codebases, context, tasks, and previous decisions
> experiment with Claude, Codex, Kimi, DeepSeek, Qwen, GLM and whatever drops next
> pick up a vague problem, figure it out fast, and come back with something working
> ship things today that probably weren’t even on the roadmap last week
We don't care if you've never interned anywhere before.
But you should have built something unusually good.
A product. An open-source project. A developer tool. A weird agent. A game. A compiler.
Something you obsessed over for three weekends for absolutely no reason. You should be comfortable working across frontend + backend, figuring things out without perfect instructions, using AI aggressively, and knowing when the AI is bullshitting you.
Why now and why us?
Software engineering is being rewritten in real time. What engineers build, how teams work, how companies hire, and what one great engineer can accomplish are all changing. At Alan, we’ll give you access to the best models and tools we can get our hands on. If a new model drops and it looks useful, you should probably be testing it that day. You’ll work directly on coding agents, orchestration, cloud sandboxes, context systems, developer infra and real product features.
The biggest thing you get is proximity. We're not watching that happen from the sidelines. We're building it. If that sounds more exciting than a normal internship, apply!
