Role Overview:
As the Project Management Director within CapVest’s Portfolio Operations team, you will act as a pivotal strategic lead accelerating value creation across our mid-market portfolio companies. You will oversee the execution of high-stakes, capital-intensive cross-border transformation projects, post-merger integrations (PMI), and operational efficiency programs to drive organic and acquisition-led scaling.
Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Capital Governance: Lead all phases of major strategic build, operational infrastructure, and capital deployment efforts within newly acquired portfolio companies.
Cross-Functional PMI: Oversee post-merger integration roadmaps, managing resource allocation, governance, and organizational change management across multiple business units.
Risk Mitigation & Reporting: Anticipate bottlenecking, evaluate project performance via advanced benchmarking, and deliver progress/KPI updates to CapVest investment committees and portfolio C-suites.
Procurement & Contract Strategy: Guide contract negotiations and value-engineering strategies with premium contractors, vendors, and regulatory bodies to control spend.
Qualifications:
10+ years of progressively responsible PMO or management consulting experience, with 3+ years at a Director level interfacing with Private Equity portfolio companies, Life Sciences, or Essential Consumer Goods sectors.
Exceptional financial literacy, advanced understanding of capital project appropriations, and contract/construction law (if managing infrastructure assets).
PMP, Agile, or Prince2 certification; MBA is highly preferred.
