Role Description This full-time Maintenance Engineer role is an on-site position based in Chakan. The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient operations. Daily tasks include conducting routine checks, performing preventive maintenance activities, diagnosing technical issues, and coordinating corrective actions. The role involves collaborating with production teams, maintaining maintenance records, monitoring spare parts inventory, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The Maintenance Engineer will also assist in implementing maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supporting installation or commissioning of new equipment as required.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for industrial machinery and systems.
Candidates should possess skills in Maintenance Engineering, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and reliability-focused maintenance.
Candidates should possess skills in Preventive Maintenance, including planning and executing scheduled inspections and servicing.
Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Maintenance, including basic electrical troubleshooting, panel checks, and safety-compliant repairs.
Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field is preferred.
Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, particularly in Chakan or similar hubs, is an advantage.
Strong understanding of safety standards, ability to read technical drawings/manuals, and basic computer skills for maintenance documentation.
Effective communication skills, ability to work in a team, and readiness for shift-based or extended hours when required by operations.
