Role Description The Sales Engineer HVAC and Automation role is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurugram. The role involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities for HVAC, Building Management, VFD’s and Heat Pumps, preparing technical and commercial proposals, and supporting the sales cycle from initial inquiry to order closure. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting clients, understanding project requirements, conducting site visits, and presenting tailored solutions that align with energy efficiency and sustainability goals. The Sales Engineer will collaborate closely with design and project teams to ensure accurate sizing, selection, and integration of systems, and will provide ongoing technical support and coordination during project execution. The role also requires maintaining customer relationships, handling queries, participating in product demonstrations, and updating management with sales forecasts, market feedback, and competitor insights.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Sales Engineering and technical solutioning skills, with experience in HVAC, Building Management Systems, Variable Frequency Drives and Heat Pump Modular Chillers.
Candidates should possess effective Sales and business development abilities, including lead generation, opportunity qualification, negotiation, and closing.
Candidates should possess solid Technical Support capabilities, including troubleshooting, pre-sales and post-sales support, and coordination with engineering and project teams.
Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to engage with clients, explain technical concepts clearly, and build long-term relationships.
Relevant educational background such as a diploma or degree in Mechanical , Electronics, or related engineering field; prior experience in HVAC or building automation sales is highly beneficial.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, familiarity with industry standards, and a strong orientation toward energy-efficient and sustainable solutions.
Proficiency in MS Office and basic CRM tools, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams.
Willingness to travel within the region for client meetings and site visits, and a proactive, ethical approach to sales and client engagement.
