VP of Project Management

Role Description The VP of Project Management is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple construction projects from inception through completion. This position oversees project management teams, establishes project methodologies, and ensures alignment with company standards, budgets, schedules, and quality requirements. The VP of Project Management will review and approve project plans, monitor performance, manage risks, and drive continuous improvement in processes and tools. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, guiding program-level initiatives, supporting client communications, and making data-driven decisions to optimize resource allocation and project outcomes. This role also contributes to strategic planning, supports business development efforts, and mentors project leaders to build a high-performing project management function.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Project Management and Project Planning skills for overseeing complex residential and commercial construction projects.
Candidates should possess Program Management and Budgeting skills to manage multi-project programs, control costs, and align resources with strategic objectives.
Candidates should possess Analytical Skills to evaluate project performance, assess risks, interpret financial and operational data, and drive informed decisions.
Extensive experience in construction or general contracting, including leading large-scale projects and cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team management, stakeholder communication, and conflict resolution in a remote work environment.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and meet deadlines.
Proficiency with project management tools and software; familiarity with construction management systems is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP) are beneficial.
