Finance Director

Role Description The Finance Director is a part-time, remote role responsible for overseeing core financial activities and providing strategic financial guidance. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing financial planning processes, reviewing and interpreting financial statements, and overseeing financial reporting to support informed decision-making. The role involves monitoring cash flow, budgets, and forecasts, as well as ensuring compliance with relevant financial standards and internal controls. The Finance Director will collaborate with leadership on long-term financial strategy, support risk management efforts, and provide clear, data-driven insights to help guide organizational growth. This role requires regular virtual collaboration with internal stakeholders and efficient use of digital tools to manage all finance-related tasks remotely.
Qualifications
Strong Finance and Financial Planning skills, with experience developing budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial strategies.
Proficiency in preparing and analyzing Financial Statements and Financial Reporting to support transparent, accurate communication with stakeholders.
Advanced Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and recommend actionable improvements.
Solid understanding of accounting principles, compliance requirements, and internal control best practices.
Experience in a finance leadership role, preferably at the director level or equivalent.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines consistently.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; an advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is an advantage.
