Role Description The Seed Company Director is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Bikaner, responsible for overseeing overall business operations and strategic direction. Day-to-day tasks include defining business strategy, managing budgets, and supervising sales, marketing, and distribution activities for seed products. The director will lead and develop cross-functional teams, establish performance targets, and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with farmers, suppliers, and institutional partners, as well as exploring new markets and product opportunities. The director is also expected to monitor industry trends, drive process improvements, and report regularly to stakeholders on business performance.
Qualifications
Experience in agribusiness or seed industry operations, including production, quality control, and supply chain management.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build, mentor, and retain high-performing teams.
Business strategy, planning, and financial management capabilities, including budgeting and performance tracking.
Sales and marketing experience in agricultural or related sectors, with skills in market development and customer relationship management.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse groups.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Management, or a related field; relevant industry certifications are an advantage.
Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in the seed or broader agricultural input industry.
Ability to work on-site in Bikaner and travel as needed for business development and partner meetings.
