About Us
LexReg is a regulatory intelligence platform for banks, credit unions, and fintechs. We offer the LexRegPulse and LexRegulator platforms. LexRegPulse monitor more than 130 federal and state regulatory and industry sources overnight and publish a synthesized intelligence brief by 6:45 AM ET. Underneath the brief sits the thing that actually matters: a structured, versioned corpus of U.S. banking regulation broken down into individual, separately citable obligations — the corpus that powers LexRegulator, our charter-scoped AI compliance agent.
Our product promise is that every claim we make traces to a real obligation, every obligation traces to a pinned primary source, and every source is being watched for change. Nothing is paraphrased. Nothing is asserted without a citation a customer can click. Only signal, no noise. This is the bleeding edge of legal and compliance utilization of Agentic AI and the future of the practice.
The Role
Quality assurance here has two halves, and this posting covers both. You will work across both. Compliance work usually evaporates. You close a finding, you fix a gap, and a year later someone reruns the same analysis from scratch. Here your judgment persists. Every call you make becomes a rule the system applies from then on, to every institution on the platform. You are not maintaining a database — you are setting the standard, and then watching it hold.
How We Work
• Agents propose, humans dispose. Automation drafts; it never commits. The commit moment is always a human click.
• You are never expected to discover anything. Work arrives in a queue with a recommendation attached. If we are relying on you to remember to check something, we have built it wrong — tell us.
• “I can’t verify this” is a complete answer. Escalating an item you cannot confirm is a success. Silent guessing is the only unacceptable outcome.
Example Roles
• Work the draft queue: review newly extracted atoms and either promote them into the corpus or reject them with a reason code.
• Open the primary source and confirm the quoted text says what the atom says it says. Verbatim means verbatim; terms of art are preserved, not smoothed.
• Confirm provenance tier and repair source links: primary text, official commentary, and derived material are handled differently and never quietly upgraded.
• Spot-check generated deliverables against a defined sampling plan — with full review on the highest-consequence categories, including supervisory findings, responses and policy redlines that would trigger board re-approval.
• Confirm charter scoping. State requirements do not reach institutions not subject to them; supervisor-specific expectations do not reach institutions with a different primary federal regulator.
• Hold the examiner-grade standard on form as well as substance: bottom line up front, one clear ask, every observation traced to a defined source, Condition–Criteria–Cause–Effect on findings responses, and a complete audit trail of sources used, institution data used, and gaps acknowledged.
• Pressure-test the guardrails — no legal advice, no supervisory ratings, no business decisions made for the customer, no disclosure across customers, no claim without a citation.
• Triage the daily change feed — sources changed, versions bumped, statuses moved, effective dates passed, links broken — and classify each change by what it actually does: superseding, amplifying, clarifying, or noise.
• Route output defects back to root cause
• Report quality honestly to leadership: what the accuracy rate is, where it is trending, which areas are weakest, and what it would take to fix them. We would rather have an uncomfortable number than a comfortable story.
Who You Are
• A current 3L, a recent JD, a certified paralegal, or one to three years of paralegal or legal-analyst experience — ideally in financial services, regulatory, or administrative law.
• Demonstrated research and verification rigor: you can trace an assertion to a controlling provision and say plainly when you cannot.
Or
• A compliance officer with three or more years in bank or credit union or consultancy, regulatory compliance, internal audit, bank examination, or a consulting or Big Four regulatory practice — including time inside a supervised institution or on examinations of one.
• Hands-on experience with the supervisory cycle: examination preparation, document requests, and drafting or reviewing responses to MRAs, MRIAs, or supervisory letters.
Required
• Genuine fluency with primary legal sources: Citation discipline, and the temperament to apply a house format consistently even where it differs from what you learned.
• Unusual attention to detail, and patience for verification work that is repetitive by design. The value of this role comes from doing the same check correctly the four-hundredth time.
• The judgment to tell a call you should just make from a question you should escalate — and no ego about escalating.
• Intellectual curiosity and honesty under commercial pressure. You will sometimes be the person saying an output is not good enough to ship.
• Comfort working independently and remotely on a queue, in spreadsheets and a web admin console, with limited supervision.
