Role Description
The Volunteer Project Coordinator is a full-time, remote role responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of She Plus Tech programs and initiatives. This role includes organizing project timelines, maintaining documentation, and tracking progress to ensure activities run smoothly and meet defined objectives. The Volunteer Project Coordinator will collaborate with team members, mentors, and partners to schedule sessions, manage communication with participants, and help coordinate events, workshops, and online activities. The role also involves gathering feedback, preparing basic reports, and assisting with outreach efforts that strengthen engagement and visibility. The coordinator will contribute to continuous improvement of program processes and tools, helping ensure that participants have an effective and inclusive experience.
Qualifications
Project coordination skills, including organizing tasks, managing timelines, and tracking deliverables.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
Basic proficiency with productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., spreadsheets, project management platforms, video conferencing tools).
Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
Interest in gender equity, technology, education, or social impact initiatives; prior experience in non-profit or volunteer management is an asset.
Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and maintain an inclusive, respectful approach to teamwork and community building.
Relevant education or training in project management, social sciences, technology, or a related field is beneficial, but equivalent experience is also valued.
Available during work hours 9 am to 5pm EST (Toronto)
Nice to have but not mandatory - Knowledge of Monday.com, Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, Canva, Discord, Coursera, Datacamp
