Role Description The Market Development Manager is a full-time role based in Ahmedabad.. This role is responsible for identifying new market opportunities, conducting detailed market and competitor analysis, and developing strategic plans to grow the company’s presence in targeted segments such as lumber, steel, construction and agriculture. Daily activities include building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, coordinating with sales and production teams to align offerings with market demand, and preparing forecasts, reports, and presentations for leadership. The Market Development Manager will also oversee sales initiatives in designated regions, monitor performance against targets, and recommend adjustments to market strategies to support sustainable growth.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Market Analysis and Market Research skills to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
Candidates should possess Business Planning and Market Planning skills to design, implement, and refine effective market development strategies.
Candidates should possess Sales skills to generate new business, manage key accounts, and support revenue growth.
Relevant experience in packaging, manufacturing, industrial products, or related sectors is beneficial.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities, with proficiency in preparing business reports and presentations.
Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Ahmedabad, manage multiple projects, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
