Role Description The Vice President of Business Development is a full-time, remote role responsible for driving revenue growth and strategic partnerships for Coin Metrics. This position leads new business initiatives, identifies and develops relationships with institutional clients and strategic partners, and expands the adoption of Coin Metrics’ data and intelligence solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing the end-to-end sales cycle, overseeing key accounts, negotiating complex commercial agreements, and collaborating with product and marketing teams to align offerings with market needs. The role also involves creating business plans, forecasting pipeline performance, and providing market feedback to inform product strategy. The Vice President will mentor business development team members, support cross-functional go-to-market efforts, and represent Coin Metrics at industry events and client meetings (virtual and in-person as needed).
Qualifications
Business development skills covering New Business Development and Business Planning, with a strong track record of building and executing growth strategies.
Sales and Account Management skills to manage the full sales cycle, nurture long-term client relationships, and drive renewals and expansions.
Contract Negotiation experience in complex B2B or institutional deals, including pricing, terms, and risk management.
Experience in financial services, fintech, or digital assets, with the ability to understand data products and communicate their value to institutional clients.
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities, including comfort with data-driven decision-making and revenue forecasting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to executive-level stakeholders and represent the company externally.
Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring teams, collaborating across functions, and contributing to a transparent, inclusive culture.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are beneficial.
