Chief Executive Officer

Metro Labs Express is seeking an experienced, hands-on Chief Executive Officer to work closely with the Founder and help develop, launch, and manage the company.
This is not a passive executive position. The successful candidate must be comfortable working inside a growing startup, establishing systems, solving operational problems, building professional relationships, and helping turn the Founder’s vision into a successful healthcare organization.
The CEO will report directly to the Founder/Owner. This position does not include ownership or unrestricted authority unless separately agreed to in writing.
Primary Responsibilities
* Manage the company’s day-to-day business operations
* Turn the Founder’s goals and ideas into organized action plans
* Develop policies, procedures, workflows, and performance standards
* Help recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate administrative and field personnel
* Build relationships with laboratories, healthcare providers, facilities, and referral partners
* Assist with laboratory service agreements and business-development opportunities
* Oversee appointment coordination, dispatching, specimen transportation, and customer service
* Help maintain HIPAA, OSHA, bloodborne-pathogen, privacy, and workplace-safety practices
* Monitor service quality, incident reporting, chain-of-custody procedures, and temperature documentation
* Develop operating budgets, pricing strategies, performance goals, and growth plans
* Help select and manage scheduling, billing, payroll, and communications systems
* Provide the Founder with regular financial and operational reports
* Prepare the company for expansion into additional service areas and states
* Protect the company’s reputation, confidential information, and business relationships
Preferred Qualifications
* Leadership experience in healthcare operations, mobile healthcare, laboratory services, home care, medical logistics, or a related field
* Experience managing employees, vendors, budgets, and business operations
* Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, healthcare compliance, and specimen-handling practices
* Strong business-development and professional relationship-building skills
* Ability to create systems and structure within a startup environment
* Excellent communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills
* Comfortable working directly with a Founder while respecting final ownership decisions
* Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, operations, or a related field preferred
* Long Island or New York healthcare experience is strongly preferred
