Role Description The Tailoring role at DeoreeCollection and Centre is a full-time, on-site position based in Bongaigaon. The Tailor will be responsible for cutting, sewing, and finishing garments, including custom designs and alterations to existing clothing. Day-to-day tasks include taking measurements, performing fittings, adjusting garments for proper fit, and ensuring high-quality stitching and finishing. The role also involves interacting with customers to understand their requirements, providing recommendations on styles and fabrics, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The Tailor will collaborate with other staff to meet deadlines and uphold the centre’s standards of service and craftsmanship.
Qualifications
Strong Tailoring and Dressmaking skills, including cutting, sewing, and garment construction.
Proficiency in Fitting and adjustments to ensure accurate measurements and comfortable, well-fitted garments.
Effective Communication and Customer Service skills to understand client needs and provide professional guidance.
Ability to work with different fabrics, patterns, and styles; experience with traditional and contemporary designs is an advantage.
Attention to detail, manual dexterity, and consistency in maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Ability to work on-site full time in Bongaigaon and manage multiple orders within agreed timelines.
Previous experience in a tailoring shop, boutique, or garment centre is preferred; relevant training or certification in tailoring or dressmaking is beneficial.

No
