About The Role
Nightwing is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Analyst to join our team supporting a critical U.S. Government customer. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, monitoring, and securing cloud-based technology initiatives, ensuring that cloud deployments adhere to strict security standards while facilitating pilot projects and transitioning into production environments. Your expertise will be pivotal in managing cloud security posture, validating compliance with federal security mandates, and implementing risk mitigation strategies. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects, supporting national security and critical infrastructure through cutting-edge cloud security practices.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess U.S. citizenship and hold an active TS/SCI clearance, with the ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry on Duty (EOD) suitability. A minimum of six years of experience in cloud security or security analysis is required, along with strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP security services. Applicants should demonstrate familiarity with cloud security assessment and monitoring tools, federal cloud security requirements such as FedRAMP and NIST standards, and experience with security frameworks and best practices. Proficiency with security monitoring platforms, SIEM tools, and cloud compliance governance is essential. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills are also required. A relevant bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, or alternatively, a high school diploma with over seven years of directly relevant experience. Certifications such as DoD 8140 IAT Level III and AWS Certified Security are highly desirable.
Responsibilities
Assess the security posture of cloud-based technology integration pilots to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
Continuously monitor cloud security environments to detect and respond to security events and anomalies.
Conduct comprehensive security reviews of cloud architectures, configurations, and deployment practices to ensure compliance with federal security standards.
Implement and manage cloud security controls, including identity and access management, encryption, and monitoring solutions.
Support the security development and deployment of local Large Language Models (LLMs) within controlled environments, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
Evaluate risks associated with cloud integrations and develop mitigation strategies to reduce potential vulnerabilities.
Facilitate the transition of cloud pilots into operational production environments, ensuring seamless and secure deployment.
Document security controls, compliance evidence, and audit findings to support ongoing security assessments and accreditation efforts.
Coordinate with cloud service providers to align security requirements and ensure contractual compliance.
Support continuous monitoring and automation of security processes within cloud environments, leveraging security orchestration tools where applicable.
Ensure all cloud integrations and deployments adhere to Zero Trust security principles to minimize attack surfaces.
Provide guidance and best practices to development and operations teams to enhance overall cloud security posture.
