About The Role
The Managed File Transfer Engineering Manager at Barclays is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of secure and reliable file transfer solutions across the organization. Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required; a master’s degree or relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCNP, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate extensive experience in software engineering, DevOps, and platform operations, with a focus on automation, reliability, and operational excellence. Leadership skills, talent development, and experience in organizational transformation are essential. Familiarity with public cloud platforms, event-driven architecture, and systems thinking will be considered advantageous.
Responsibilities
As the Managed File Transfer Engineering Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
Leading the design, development, and deployment of secure, scalable, and resilient file transfer solutions aligned with organizational needs and compliance standards.
Managing and mentoring a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
Driving strategic initiatives to modernize file transfer platforms, incorporating automation and cloud-native technologies.
Collaborating with security and compliance teams to ensure all file transfer processes adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
