Role Description The Business Development Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Delhi, India. The person in this role will identify and develop new business opportunities with government bodies, infrastructure companies, and other key stakeholders in the road safety and construction ecosystem. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and maintaining client relationships, conducting market research, preparing and delivering presentations, and managing the end-to-end sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure. The Business Development Manager will collaborate closely with internal teams on pricing, proposals, and product positioning, track sales performance against targets, and provide regular reports and forecasts to leadership. The role also involves attending industry events, staying updated on regulatory standards, and contributing to strategic initiatives that strengthen Sunrise Overseas’ market presence.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, or key account management, preferably in infrastructure, construction, or manufacturing sectors.
Strong skills in client relationship management, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement to build long-term partnerships.
Proficiency in market research, opportunity analysis, and strategic planning to support revenue growth and expansion.
Ability to prepare and deliver clear presentations, proposals, and tenders, with solid written and verbal communication skills.
Comfort with using CRM tools, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and data-driven reporting to track pipeline and performance.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
Proven ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet sales targets and deadlines.
Knowledge of road safety products, government procurement processes, and relevant industry standards (e.g., IRC, MORTH) is highly beneficial.
Willingness to travel as required for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
