Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Video Editor role based in Kolkata. The Video Editor will be responsible for editing raw footage into polished educational and promotional videos that align with the academy’s brand and instructional goals. Daily tasks include assembling and trimming clips, synchronizing audio, applying transitions and effects, and ensuring smooth storytelling and pacing. The role also involves basic motion graphics work, integrating titles and graphics, managing color correction and grading, and maintaining consistent visual standards across all video content. The Video Editor will collaborate closely with instructors, marketing staff, and other team members to plan video concepts, meet deadlines, and optimize content for various platforms.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Video Editing and Video Production skills for assembling, refining, and delivering high-quality video content.
Candidates should possess Video Color Grading skills to ensure accurate, consistent, and visually appealing color across all footage.
Candidates should possess Motion Graphics and Graphics skills to create titles, lower thirds, simple animations, and other visual elements.
Proficiency with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and basic audio editing tools.
Ability to work on-site in Kolkata, manage multiple projects, follow brand guidelines, and meet tight deadlines with attention to detail.
Strong visual storytelling sense, understanding of pacing and composition, and interest in educational or training content.
Relevant diploma or degree in film, media, design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in video post-production.
