Senior Vice President, Capital Formation
About the Company
Our client is a privately held, West Coast focused real estate development and investment platform focused primarily on distinctive, mid size to larger scale multifamily and mixed use residential projects throughout Southern California.
The firm is involved across the full investment and development lifecycle, including acquisition, development, financing, capitalization, and execution of residential communities. Its strategy is centered on developing high quality housing while creating attractive long term value for investors and capital partners.
As the company continues to expand its development pipeline, it is seeking a senior capital formation professional to lead equity raising efforts and deepen relationships with family offices, private investors, registered investment advisers, institutional allocators, and strategic capital partners.
Position Overview
The Senior Vice President, Capital Formation will lead the firm’s equity capital formation strategy across its multifamily development platform. This individual will be responsible for originating investor relationships, sourcing equity capital, supporting capital structuring initiatives, and helping position the company for continued growth.
This is not a traditional investor relations position. The ideal candidate will have direct experience raising capital from family offices and sophisticated private investors, preferably within real estate development, multifamily investment, or private real estate environments.
The successful candidate must be able to establish credibility with investors while clearly communicating project economics, development strategy, underwriting assumptions, return profiles, capital structures, and risk considerations.
This individual will work closely with executive leadership and the Chief Financial Officer and will play a highly visible role representing the platform to current and prospective capital partners.

• Serve as a key point of contact for investor communication, relationship development, meetings, and ongoing engagement
• Assist in structuring joint ventures, preferred equity investments, and other equity capital solutions
• Coordinate investor presentations, confidential information memorandums, fundraising materials, financial models, data room content, and capital campaign strategy in partnership with the Chief Financial Officer and executive leadership
• Clearly communicate development strategy, project positioning, projected returns, underwriting assumptions, and risk mitigation approaches to sophisticated investors
• Work closely with development, finance, and executive leadership teams on underwriting, investor diligence, and capital partner discussions
• Represent the company at investor meetings, conferences, and relevant industry events
Qualifications
• 8 or more years of experience in capital formation, capital raising, real estate private equity, investment management, institutional business development, or a related field

• Ability to confidently discuss development economics, projected returns, capital deployment strategy, sponsor positioning, and investment risk with sophisticated investors
• Strong communication, presentation, relationship management, and follow through skills
